A look at Rubber Flooring and Recycled products
When a Rubber Flooring range, or any other product, has an Environmental Product Declaration it allows users, clients and specifiers to independently verify recycled content claims.
Within each EPD there is a section dedicated to product composition. Values are expressed as a % of mass, and the higher the figure the better. An increasing figure over yearly EPDs shows a commitment to product improvement.
Artigo Rubber Flooring’s recycled materials come from a number of sources. Firstly, its own scrap and by product waste is recycled and reused, but what is more, other manufacturers waste products are also integrated into Artigo's rubber flooring products. Waste powders from white Carrara marble production, that would normally be disposed of, are seamlessly repurposed, as are unwanted rice husks.
Artigo's rubber flooring product team is constantly working to improve its Global Warming Potential numbers and recycled and repurposed waste products are a big part of the commitment to a greener product.
